Butter Buns and Tuna-filled Buns

Photobucket

Last Sunday, I bought a breadmaker finally. I just couldn't resist buying one now especially if I weighed the positive advantages of it. And since my girls are still young, it would be a good investment since they will definitely be enjoying breads of all kind till their adult years. It would be a good start now since I've more of less tried bread by manual kneading and understand somewhat the texture of breads.

I decided to bake using a recipe I got from Agnes. She was very kind to share her tasty Butter Buns recipe with me and also lots of other tips. I attempted my first usage of the breadmaker with this recipe and it turned out just wonderful. The only changes I made was by replacing some water with fresh milk.

Here are pictures of the bread i baked. Nine 50gm buns in a square pan. They were soft, fluffy and has a sweet taste. I filled some with some butter mixed with icing sugar and some I filled with tunafish & onions. They were excellent!

The excess - after making 9 buns, I placed the rest on aluminium tart cups and they turned out so much like a mushroom muffin!

Agnes' recipe was taken from one of Agnes Chang's recipe book which you can buy from here too.

kittycat, nothing spectacular tho.. a cheap Carrefour housebrand - Blue Sky... i think any breadmaker with a dough function can do the trick for nice buns.
