Doughnut Chocolate Cookies

I am Queen of Caffeine. Give me Coffee, Anytime. I used to hang out at a Yakun Kaya Toast outlet for their Kopi Kao Kao and I'd sneak in that soft fluffy doughnuts from Breadtalk few outlets away. I didn't fancy the Yakun Kaya Toast because I prefer a thick toasts like Killeney's anytime. Got to be crispy outside and soft inside.

I was hanging out at this place drinking Kopi Kao Kao, sometimes Kopi C with my best friend, almost daily, except Saturdays and Sundays. We chat, gossip and do just about everything two old women buddies would do. It was life for us. Well, until she left for work in another continent...

I still drink my Kopi everyday, morning, noon, afternoon and after dinner I needed one. Like those who finds it relaxing with a puff after a meal, mine has always been Kopi.

And since the Bread Talk bakery have been reduced by the number of outlets, the two nearest to my home does not exist anymore. Too much competition, probably. I miss my doughnuts.

Then in the past two years, the Doughnuts from Japan and US started to mushroom like a FAD. In 6 months, they dwindled and the queues were no longer there. They were nice and fanciful but I still miss my Bread Talk's doughnuts... sigh. Plain doughnuts sprinkled with light amount of icing sugar. Yummy..


When I made cookies today, I decided to make my cookies the shape of a Doughnut... I bought the doughnut cutter and wanted to make doughnuts but decided to use it as my cookie cutter.
