3 cups all purpose flour
4 tsp double acting baking powder
half cup granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup butter
3 eggs beat well
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup seedless raisins
half cup of jams of your preferred choice
Preheat oven ot 375 deg F. In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Cut in butter.
Mix the eggs, milk, raisins and fold in flour mixture. Stir to dampen the flour. Add some drops of milk if it is dry. Fill the muffin cups till about one third full. Add a teaspoon of jam on it then scoop more batter till they are about two thirds of the muffin cup.
Bake for 20 minutes or test with a toothpick. Serve it warm with butter. Yummy.
